About Me 

After receiving my honors in accounts from RAU, and starting my articles at PWC, I realized accounting was not my passion. I had been a runner all my life, and ate the traditional, low fat yoghurt, muesli and fruit diet. Interestingly this combination of endurance training did nothing for weight loss or lowering my body fat percentage. In 1999, I met my husband Glen at the gym I trained, he changed my perspective on nutrition and exercise, advocating heavier weights, higher intensity, shorter duration exercise, with a diet high in protein with moderate carbohydrates. The results were immediate and profound, and as an added bonus, now with a super fast metabolism, weight and body fat control was a lot easier. It's then that I got into personal training myself and discovered my true passion, culminating with us building a gym together in 2001, which has been going strong ever since. I've been a personal trainer for 18 years, what I've learned over that time is that this pervasive philosophy of perpetual diet is unsustainable. My husband and I have developed a methodology whereby you can eat more food than you thought, as long as it's in the correct macro-nutrient ratios, and remain lean, or get leaner. You'll find most people who go to a gym are rewarded with very little success, if any at all. This is simply a product of people not understanding the principles of training. Unless this is done in the correct manner, you'll have little to no results, so for many individuals, training with a personal trainer is imperative for long term results.The key elements can be summed up as follows:
